Every permission we ask for,
and what it does
An audit needs none of them. Signing in and connecting Google Analytics are separate, optional steps — this page lists exactly what each one grants and what we do with it.
- 0NothingA public URL. The crawler reads the pages a shopper sees — no admin, no install, no account.
- 1GoogleSign in with your name and email. Optionally, read-only access to your own GA4 property.
Google Sign-In, and what it’s used for
Google Sign-In lets you authenticate securely and unlock the features available to registered users. Connecting Google Analytics is entirely optional. We are transparent about every scope we request.
Sign in securely
Google Sign-In lets you create and access your account without another password. We only read your basic profile — your name and email address — to identify your account.
Connect Google Analytics (optional)
If you choose to connect Google Analytics 4, we request read-only access (analytics.readonly) to your own GA4 data so we can turn real revenue, traffic and conversion figures into a growth roadmap. You can skip this and still run every audit.
Save your audit history
A signed-in account keeps your past audits, screenshots and reports in one place so you can track progress over time and pick up where you left off.
Personalize recommendations
With your audit history — and your GA4 data if connected — we tailor the recommendations and prioritize the fixes most likely to move your store’s revenue.
What we never access
We do not read your Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar or photos, and we never send email or post on your behalf. From Google Sign-In we use only your name and email address to identify your account. If — and only if — you connect Google Analytics, we request read-only access (analytics.readonly) to your own GA4 reporting data; we never modify your Analytics settings. You can disconnect at any time.
Your privacy matters
An audit analyzes only the publicly accessible pages of your Shopify store — the same pages any shopper or search engine can already see. Everything beyond that is a permission you grant on this page’s terms.
Full details are in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to connect anything to run an audit?+
No. An audit runs from your public storefront URL alone — the pages any shopper or search engine can already see. Google Sign-In only creates an account; connecting Google Analytics is optional and unlocks the tools that need your own numbers.
How do I disconnect?+
Google Analytics disconnects from the report’s analytics settings, and you can revoke our access at any time from your Google Account permissions.
